Our client - a research-driven pharmaceutical company focused on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option - is seeking a Molecular Biologist to join their growing team!
Type: Contract (two years)
Location: Ridgefield, CT
Rate: $49/hr - $53/hr
Duties
- Performs various functional genomics assays (RNA-seq, single cell–seq on tissue, cell or nuclei suspensions).
- Develop/perform PCR-based assays (qPCR, qRT-PCR).
- Operate and maintain lab equipment, initiate and complete routine procedures in an independent and efficient manner, troubleshoot effectively and solve scientific problems.
- Author protocols and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Report and treat data with a high level of integrity and ethics.
- Comply with applicable regulations, perform all work in a safe manner, maintain proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree with 3 years of experience in molecular/cell biology, or related scientific discipline.
- Solid understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and functional genomics.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing in vitro cell-based assays or PCR-based assays.
- Proficient in cell culturing.
- Automation/software programming is a plus.
Salary : $49 - $53
