Sober Living House Manager

Asurgent Living is looking for a Sober Living House Manager to oversee multiple sober living homes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with leadership skills and a passion for helping others struggling with a substance use disorder. The Sober Living House Manager is a full-time professional with the responsibility of managing and coordinating the residences.

The duties of this position include administration, housekeeping, and daily living skills. This position works directly with men and women in early and mid stages of sobriety, providing structure and support to clients seeking to establish stable long-term sobriety. Additionally, this position requires driving and maintaining a multi-passenger van (and other fleet vehicles) for transportation to/from appointments including counseling sessions.

The Sober Living House Manager works with clients seeking sobriety from the time they apply for entry into the program to program completion/transition. This position is responsible for coordinating all housing entry and exiting procedures. Additionally the Sober Living House Manager must be comfortable with providing monitoring and review of physical and electronic security devices.

The Sober Living House Manager oversees daily operations of the Recovery Residence. This includes managing and coordinating daily housekeeping tasks, leading weekly “House Meetings,” conducting inspections, and making arrangements for random drug testing. This position is also involved in supporting residents to develop sobriety plans and teaching residents skills needed to live in recovery.

The Sober Living House Manager works as part of a team and receives regular non-clinical supervision.

The hours of this position are primarily between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. with weekend flexibility.

Candidates for this position must be able to maintain organized records, communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and be able to interact appropriately and professionally with women who are working on their recovery. Candidates must also be able to effectively handle emergency/crisis situations as they arise. Candidates must be able to work with a diverse team of administration, operations and clinicians.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma, GED, or willingness to obtain GED · Must have 2 or more years of sustained sobriety from a substance use disorder

. A current and valid unrestricted driver’s license with proof of personal vehicular insurance

· Willingness to obtain or demonstrate certifications in Basic First Aid, CPF, Mental Health First Aid, and drug testing procedures

· Requires maintaining a visible presence in the sober living homes, including being present in the residences at various times of the day/night.

· Must have minor house maintenance/repair skills

· Basic computer and keyboarding skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel)

· Knowledge of community resources

HOURS: The hours of this position are primarily between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. with weekend flexibility.

SALARY: Pay for the position is dependent upon education and experience. This position is salaried EXEMPT.

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
