What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at ASYST TECHNOLOGIES?
The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Analyzes work center loads for effective capacity planning. Will also ensure accurate inventories by effectively addressing any labor reporting issues. Takes an active role in daily production meetings and sales and customer service inquiries.
Key Tasks
- Review the master schedule for upcoming assigned product line requirements. Develop the schedule of production for assigned product lines to ensure on time customer delivery.
- Review the availability of manufactured and purchase parts for the assigned product lines.
- Acquire shop orders, purchase order due dates and manufactured parts build dates.
- Coordinate with various departments related to schedule (Purchasing, Production, Tool Room, Customer Service, Shipping)
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Comply with all QMS and EMS procedures and work instructions as they relate to your job description.
Position Requirements
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, good communication skills, good planning and organizational skills. Strong math skills. High school graduate with 2-3 years related experience.
