Job Summary:
The CRM Campaign Specialist is responsible for the development work, user experience and QA of the At Home email marketing program. This role partners with multiple teams such as Analytics, Creative, Merchants, PR, as well as our Email Service Provider, Salesforce, and additional third-party support vendors like Certona and Movable Ink that enhance our email experience. This individual must present proficient skills in HTML coding, experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and writing AMPScript for content personalization and demonstrate an ability to self-manage and hit project deadlines.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build promotional and trigger email campaigns from Photoshop art file to coded HTML proof
- Manage audience/data import and segmentation activities using SQL in Salesforce Automation Studio and filtered data extensions in Email Studio
- Develop custom multi-step journeys to maximize customer engagement and deliver 1-to-1 experiences to customers that meet particular business rules
- Perform controlled multi-variate tests that result in program optimizations and impact broader strategic decisions for the CRM team
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners including in-house creative team, Email Service Provider account and support teams and marketing leadership
Qualifications & Competencies:
- 3 years email marketing campaign experience, including HTML development, QA testing, journey building and post-mortem analytics
- 1-2 years’ experience with SFMC (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) or like systems
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of HTML and CSS for email coding and developing for cross-platform rendering on both mobile and desktop
- Experience writing and editing AMPScript to power custom audiences and personalization in email campaigns
- Beginner’s knowledge in SQL and Automation design to power data flows from external systems into the ESP
- Experience with tagging email links with Google Analytics tracking data to measure campaign performance
- Proven track record of developing successful campaigns that deliver incremental engagement and sales for the company
- Self-starter and ability to work as part of a team, managing deadlines with minimal supervision
- Retail environment experience a plus but not required
- B.A. in Marketing or related field
