Shift Details

Shifts are 8 hours / day, 5 days / week

Possible to work up to 40 hours / week

Required to work at least 4 days / week

Must work full shifts, no partial shifts

Near Bensalem PA, office based in Montgomery County

Job Description

We’re looking for Canvassers to join our team! We have immediate openings for outgoing individuals to help engage with voters and support Democratic candidates up-and-down the ballot.

Our Canvassers go door-to-door interacting with voters about civic issues and candidates. Our projects involve face-to-face conversations that provide people with information about the upcoming elections and collect information about preferences and concerns.

These conversations are proven to persuade and mobilize voters. As a Canvasser you’ll help drive people to action. Ideal candidates enjoy working with people and are passionate about supporting Democratic candidates.

Previous community organizing experience is desired but not required. This is a perfect opportunity for those in service / hospitality, retail, sales, or anyone interested in engaging with people and the community.

At Scale will provide training, transportation during shifts, and other shift materials.

Requirements

Must meet shift productivity goals and metrics

Must submit six accurate and timely daily productivity reports throughout each shift

Must provide detailed qualitative feedback on voter interactions each shift

Must be eighteen or older

Access to reliable transport to / from work

Access to a smart phone with data service

Willing / able to work for several hours in assigned public / residential areas

Willing / able to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Qualifications

Experience - previous work in community organizing, service / hospitality, retail, sales, or related fields is a plus

Professional - conducts behavior and presents appearance in a professional, respectful manner

Punctual - arrives on time

Reliable - consistently meets attendance requirements

Communicative - comfortable engaging diverse coworkers and communities with clear, effective communication

Trustworthy - produces honest work with complete commitment to data integrity

Detail Oriented - pays close attention to details required for high quality, accurate work
