Leasing Specialist

ATA Services, Inc. is currently seeking to hire an experienced Leasing Specialist to work on a long-term temporary position in Santa Fe, NM. The leasing specialist facilitates commercial real estate transactions and obtains leased space on behalf of Executive State Agencies under the jurisdiction of FMD.

• Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Location: Santa Fe, NM

Roles and responsibilities

The leasing specialist's key responsibilities include assessing agency space needs, conducting competitive solicitations, negotiating the best value for leased space between private property owners or their representatives, developing and administering lease documents, and managing the performance of executed lease documents.

• Learn the processes and tools to effectively administer the job duties of the Leasing Specialist position. This includes, and is not limited to, drafting documents, the AIM program, the space needs questionnaire program and the request for proposal process.
• Assist agencies with the administration of leases and lease enforcement as requested.
• Efficiently obtain and process the required documents from agencies wishing to lease or renew leases and assist them with their interpretation and preparation
• Managing assigned RFPs and providing direction to agencies during the request for proposal (RFP) process; preparing and ensuring that requests meet all requirements of the State Purchasing Division as applicable and Facilities Management Division.

The work is performed primarily in an office/workstation setting, with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Some travel may be required. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
