Job Description
Groundskeeping and litter crew workers are responsible for picking up litter and trash in highway areas, groundskeeping, weed eating, and other tasks as assigned.
Basic Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Education - Minimum 8th Grade Education
Experience - Experience in grounds and landscaping, maintenance, painting, and general carpentry preferred.
Driver’s License - Valid NM driver’s license and clean driving record are strongly desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Candidates must be capable of performing laborious tasks over extended periods of time. Incumbents are exposed to dangerous equipment and to heat, cold, rain, noise, and other adverse conditions.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, wet, and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.
