Brake Press Operator

Small privately held metal stamper and fabricator is seeking a dedicated Fabrication Brake Press Operator to play a vital role in producing high-quality precision parts using our state-of-the-art TRUMPF brake presses.

Summary

• Set up and operate TRUMPF brake presses and other fabrication equipment to bend, shape, and form metal parts according to technical specifications and work orders.
• Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine precise bending angles, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Program and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and consistent part production.
• Collaborate with team members, including programmers and engineers, to optimize bending processes and troubleshoot any technical issues.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and upkeep to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
• Monitor and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality control standards and specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including materials used, production quantities, and job details.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall production process.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in metalworking, machining, or fabrication is preferred.
• Previous experience operating TRUMPF brake presses or similar metal forming equipment is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Physical capability to lift and move materials as required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to quality standards.

Hours: Position may be eligible for a flexible schedule, standard shift hours are:

1st shift (4am-2pm Monday-Thursday)

2nd Shift (2:00 PM - midnight, Monday - Thursday)

Pay: Starting at $18.75 $ 1.00 attendance bonus Company Gainshare and Shift Premium for 2nd shift
