Position Summary
Supports and coordinates the identification and implementation of improvement activities to reduce operation costs and maximize total manufacturing system effectiveness.

Decision Making Authority
Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Safety Requirements
Must observe and practice all safety regulations, up to and including wearing of personal protective equipment when necessary.
Preferred Skills
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Training in statistics and math (especially algebra, geometry, and trigonometry) is strongly desired.
Education and Job Experience Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related area of discipline. Experience in an automotive environment is strongly desired in addition to exposure to project and vendor management.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work well with other associates and follow all company rules, regulations and company policies. May be required to work overtime on short notice. Must be familiar with computers with the ability to use Word, Excel, and other software packages. Must have excellent communication and people skills. Must be aware of customer requirements and expectations. Must be able to prioritize tasks. Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule. Willingness to take a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of automotive quality standards of ISO 9001 and IATF requirements
