The Marketing Segment Manager is an independent contributor who exhibits expertise in assessing the strategic planning, growth, and development of the organization. They drive revenue growth for an assigned market segment through the development of relevant offerings, marketing strategies and execution of associated marketing plans worldwide.

They maintain awareness of the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, working on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
- Gather and interpret market research and voice of customer from assigned market segment, turning them into strategic insights and recommendations for the organization.
- Drive product & services roadmap for their segments, including product acquisition, new product development, technology or in licensing acquisition, partnerships or channel expansion.
- Assess strategic growth initiatives and assist in the planning and development of strategic objectives for the organization. Conduct studies on operational effectiveness, capacity utilization, and operating cost containment.
- Provide analysis that supports the organization’s strategic planning, growth, and development efforts and translate findings into meaningful insights.
- Analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that may affect the organization. Measure performance of segment marketing plans and make data driven recommendations to continuously optimize tactics.
- Assess market entry options and conduct due diligence on potential new ventures. Utilize a strong understanding of business process analysis, workforce planning and operational reviews.
- Provide innovative thought leadership and support for key initiatives, continually seek ways to add value. Identify markets and services for potential growth.
- Serve as primary point of contact for marketing for product management, research and development, operations, and other commercial teams.
- Collaborate with product managers, sales and marketing operations to lead the execution of marketing plans through various channels including web, email paid media, public relations, sales tools, events, etc.
- Drive demand by creating thought leadership content, translating differentiation points into compelling stories to drive inbound, outbound, and earned media marketing tactics.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years' experience, including 0-2 years' supervisory experience or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of product management or marketing experience.
- 5 years of experience in assigned market segment or selling products/services to that market.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel may be required, as needed.
