Overview
This wet lab hands-on Senior Biologist is responsible for performing a variety of complex laboratory procedures to develop cancer immunology based in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo model products for life science researchers in academic, government, biotech, and pharmaceutical institutions. With guidance from the supervisor, the Senior Biologist will be expected to be able to design and perform experiments as assigned, interpret data and develop weekly experimental plans based on results obtained.
The Senior Biologist will also perform routine maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment. Performance will be evaluated with respect to the quality and rigor of project execution, adherence to time-line, productivity and contribution to team and organizational goals. The Senior Biologist supports and complies with all ATCC corporate policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience or equivalent experience.
- Mammalian cell culture skill is a must.
- Experience in expansion, characterization and cryopreservation of cell lines is required.
- Relevant experience in immuno-oncology and cancer biology is highly desirable.
- Experience in developing commercial products is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in cell line genetic modification, immunoassay, and microscopy imaging is highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on expertise in handling of a variety of human and animal cell line including the ability to perform cell-based assays and molecular tests for cell line characterization.
- Ideal candidate will have working expertise in cell culture adaption and culture condition optimization for protein production or viral vector production. Experience of genetically modify host cell line for protein or viral production is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in cell-based immunoassays such as flow cytometry, FACS single cell sorting, ELISA, IF & IHC cell staining, and CyTOF is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience in fluorescence microscopy including confocal microscopy, high content imaging, 3D live cell imaging is highly desirable. Experience in super resolution imaging such as SIM/STORM, STED is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in small animal (mice & rats) in vivo immune-oncology experiments is desirable. Experience in animal imaging such as IVIS imaging and multiphoton intravital imaging is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in 10X Chromium platform based single cell sequencing and Illumina platform based NGS sequencing including library prep is a plus.
