What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roller Machine Operator position at ATF?
Summary
Produce quality high-precision rolled fasteners; while maintaining superior degree of productivity.
Position Responsibilities
- Able to set up and or operate a large range of small, large diameter, or SEMS rollers as defined within department training matrix and/or Employee Development Form.
- Produce quality parts; in finish and configuration, with zero defects on a regular basis.
- Proficient in Gainseeker, math and blue print reading.
- Ability to teach or instruct new or transferred team members on various skills as defined in department training matrix.
- Familiar with all tooling necessary in making a set-up.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Proficient with various hand tools, micrometer, scale and venier caliper.
- Capable of trouble-shooting tooling and machine problems.
- Participate in all safety related educational/training events and observe all policies including annual member safety program through WCTI.
- Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and experience operating thread-rolling equipment.
- Competent with small hand tools, and all measuring instruments pertinent to cold heading shop; including micrometer, scale, venier caliper.
- Proficient in reading and understanding shop blueprints.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and utilize team lifting guidelines should item exceed weight limit for a single lift
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or the equivalent formal experience required.
