We are currently seeking a highly qualified Product Manager, who has an interest in commercializing innovative technologies, to join our team. Apothym Technologies is a fast-growing team of talented engineers and creative thinkers who are passionate about our future.

Job Responsibilities:

• Evangelize product vision, business case, and value proposition throughout the company and to our partners.
• Establish a good working relationship with the product realization cross functional team and with the customer facing organization.
• Write clear and detailed high-level requirements for the development teams.
• Help expedite and prioritize efforts during the planning and development process.
• Manage the operational and administrative aspects of Research and Development (R&D) projects including cost forecasting, technical schedule tracking, and risk identification and mitigation.
• Work with a cross-functional team of hardware and software engineers and serve as a liaison between the technical team and the leadership, financial, and sales teams.
• Maintain communications with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs).
• Support the development and sustainment of the project management methods, systems, tools and techniques to ensure continuous improvement of departmental capabilities.
• Identify staffing requirements, develop position descriptions, and coordinate with Human Resources through hiring processes.
• Coordination with subcontractor and vendors.
• Tracking the Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL) to ensure compliance with contracts requirements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• 7 years’ experience as a Product Manager or similar role with a DoD government contractor.
• Familiarity with Product Management in a Technical or Engineering field.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
• Experience with hardware development life cycle.
• Knowledge of DoD, Maritime, and Business Aviation SATCOM systems and markets.
• Demonstrated effective analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to relay and receive written and oral information.
• Experience in identifying customer and business problems, crafting the product vision, writing clear/concise business requirements with consideration for the end-to-end experience, and leading the execution team to deliver on time and on budget.
• Self-motivated / self-directed and performance driven; willingness to take necessary actions to deliver on commitments and able to work on multiple efforts simultaneously in a creative and unstructured setting.
• Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to understand designs, challenges, and risks in order to provide timely recommendations and drive decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to influentially drive alignment among stakeholders while ensuring execution accountability across teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $139,000.00 per year
