Position: Extended School Year Teacher
Reports to: Executive Director
Supported by: Instructional Coach
Salary Range: Competitive Salary and Benefits - based on experience
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree.
Experience Required: Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Certification Required: Valid teacher certification required or willingness to obtain certification.
NOTE: The extended school year program will be provided in person

Job Duties:
- Plan and implement instruction in reading, writing, math, communication, life, and social skills using evidence-based programs and strategies (following the mission, beliefs and strategies of Athlos Academies 3 pillars of performance).
- Ensure student growth and achievement in accordance with grade level expectations.
- Differentiate instruction as needed to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
- Model the Athlos culture by exemplifying the 3 Pillars: Prepared Mind, Healthy Body, and Performance Character (demonstrating 12 character traits, exemplifying a growth mindset and modeling a healthy lifestyle).
- Accurately track student attendance, student progress, behavioral concerns, and classroom events.
- Monitor and communicate profess with the use of data collection tools.
- Regularly and professionally communicate with parents/guardians and the community.
- Develop positive relationships with students and families
- Participate in regular professional development, the school's professional learning community and staff meetings to improve instruction.
- Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with school leadership and other staff members to maximize effective instructional activities and build positive school culture.
- Utilize provided instructional and supplemental resources effectively and responsibly
- Meet professional obligations by honoring schedules, deadlines, and all professional responsibilities.
- Assist with routine care, monitoring of students' arrival, dismissal and lunch time, and other tasks as needed
- Complete end of ESY progress report
- Demonstrate the standards for effective practices of teachers.
- Any other assigned duties as assigned.
