The coordinator acts as the liaison between theAthol-Royalston Regional School District, college and university institutions, and workforce partners. Student successis the primary focus of both of these programs and the ability to create and sustain strong and positive relationshipswith students, teachers and other school personnel, college and industry partners is of utmost importance.The purpose of this position is to lead and manage our ECA and IP programs. The successful candidate willdemonstrate: An ability to communicate and promote ECA and IP programs to students, families, community stakeholders, highereducation and industry partners to continuously improve and build each program.Strong organizational skills related to supporting students to set and meet goals.An ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data to make decisions, monitor program quality, and create reports forvarious aspects of program implementation.A willingness to be flexible and creative in problem solving as well as have a collaborative and positive attitude.A belief that every one of our high school students is deserving and capable of a rich and personalized education thatincludes opportunities to attend college courses, partake in internships and externships, and explore post-secondaryoptions of interest.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Education, Business, or related field, is required.
Masters Degree preferredUnderstanding of early college, dual enrollment, and workforce development programs and funding is preferredLicensed by MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is preferredMinimum of 2 years experience in education or similar public sector field is preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills are required.Ability to utilize technology to assist students, develop reports, collect data, and communicate effectively is necessaryDuties and Responsibilities1.Develop and implement guidelines, standards and criteria regarding student eligibility for ECA coursework within ateam environment2.Lead with an equity lens to ensure that all students are afforded opportunities to participate in ECA and IPprograms3.Work with ECA and IP school-based team to develop, monitor, and assess programming; recruit and enrollstudents; communicate with AHS faculty to prepare students academically for ECA and IP experiences; collect andmaintain student records4.Organize and coordinate all aspects of ECA and IP, including communication to students, families, college andindustry partners, school administration, and community stakeholders5.Conduct orientation and informational sessions for high school and middle school students and families about ECAand IP5.Ensure parents and families have timely opportunities to participate in conferences regarding student progress;arrange/ implement targeted interventions, such as tutoring, counseling, etc., for students who are at-risk6.Work with college(s) to provide students with texts, course materials, chromebooks or other devices7.Coordinate transportation for students to college campuses or workforce experiences, and resolve transportationissues as needed8.Maintain a physical presence on both high school and college campuses and monitor systems for students safety,incident reporting, and emergency response on college campus9.Implement orientation system for college instructors and industry partners on working with high school students10.Pursue and develop industry partnerships to expand IP programs through long-range planning11.Any other relevant duties as assignedReports to: Superintendent/ Building PrincipalSalary: To be negotiated in individual contractEqual Opportunity EmployerAthol-Royalston Regional School District is committed to maintaining a work and learning environment free fromdiscrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, pregnancy, gender identity, sexual orientation,marital/civil union status, ancestry, place of birth, age, citizenship status, veteran status, political affiliation, geneticinformation or disability, as defined and required by state and federal laws.
