Director, Supply Chain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Improvement Director to join our Millersburg, Oregon team and play a critical role in ATI SA&C Global Supply Chain. You will report directly to the VP of Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the business supply chain processes roadmap and championing the implementation of new supply chain operational systems and analytic tools globally. You will also be accountable for supporting capital planning and long-term asset planning.

This position is critical in driving improvements to capacity planning models and planning rates input to the S&OP process, ensuring our ability to deliver on-time to customer commitments during a period of growth for our manufacturing lines and ATI SA&C business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the supply planning process to include planning rates with fidelity.
• Lead Operations and Supply Chain to gather and verify data, conducting thorough analysis to inform decision-making.
• Leverage best practices from industry and other business lines and adapt tools to the specific needs of the business.
• Identify and reconcile business needs with system functioning design, ensuring effective integration and performance.
• Drive change management during implementation, promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
• Conduct regular reviews and analysis of planning processes. Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions to address issues and enhance planning accuracy.
• Identify quick-win opportunities for supply chain efficiency and effectiveness improvements, leading optimization initiatives.
• Lead the development of capacity planning and maintain the annual asset planning process for the business, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
• Clearly define the capacity parameters that will be included in the model; ensure consistency and clarity in measuring and analyzing capacity.
• Develop capacity models for different scenarios, such as best-case, worst-case, and most likely scenarios. Utilize simulation techniques to assess the impact of different capacity scenarios, bottlenecks, and potential improvements.
• Involve cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and planning, in the development of capacity models.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning accuracy, such as forecast accuracy and delivery-to-promise (DTP). Regularly monitor and analyze these metrics to identify areas for improvement and track progress over time.
