Primary Purpose of this Job
The primary purpose of this job is to implement and maintain engineering objectives and initiatives. Support management with evaluating, analyzing, and reporting risk management for capital spending.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)
- Provide leadership in the Administration of Capital and Major Maintenance Programs from a scope, budget, estimates, schedule, and approval process standpoint.
- Provide leadership and direction to entry engineering professionals.
- Provide Engineering, Maintenance and Operation team leaders detailed support related to short term and long-range planning of Capital and Major Maintenance Projects for all North and South Carolina plant locations.
- Support capital forecasting process for all project spends and the associated periodic reporting.
- Provide management of the closeout process at the completion of Capital Projects together with Finance & Account team to ensure proper transfer of CIP value to an asset.
- Collaborate across all levels of business and with facility maintenance leaders to identify and maintain a listing of critical spare items and support the acquisition of those items where needed.
- Maintain a focus on Safety related matters on all projects with both the Company personnel and outside Contractors.
- Maintain and develop internal business processes that support and simplify the execution of capital and major maintenance projects.
