Develop and execute the strategy for the purchase and management of key outside services to support SRP Value-Add Services. This includes developing both short and long term strategies relative to these items, determining required capacity needed, quality required, and negotiating cost (including cost savings structure over time).
Essential Functions:
Development of procurement strategic initiatives related to outside conversion services supporting SRP Value Add Services including vendor identification, evaluation, selection, management, and contract negotiation.
Direct management of a team of employees responsible for supporting the execution and expansion of Value-Add Services as well as outside conversion services.
Establish consistent communication with the Commercial, supply chain and outside service providers to ensure timely status updates to customers, etc.
Reviewing current processes and determining new ways of streamlining, error-proofing, and driving efficiencies.
Working closely with Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders to consistently achieve & exceed customer expectations.
Working closely with other ATI business units and Strategic Sourcing to leverage opportunities across ATI.
Accomplishing year over year strategic cost savings
Managing, and developing, key supplier relationships and partnerships.
Negotiating competitive contracts that form the basis for consistent performance as well as significant cost savings.
Developing cost/benefit analyses for new suppliers to ensure positive performance and cost reduction results.
Developing strategic tracking, metrics and analysis to monitor current contracts and provide the basis for future contracts and supply needs.
Cultivating constructive, working relationships with suppliers and intercompany counterparts, during the development of new vendors or order execution.
Maintaining extensive awareness of the markets, relative to job responsibilities, and their impact to sales and manufacturing strategies to support business goals and continuous improvement.
Interfacing with various levels of the organization, and representing service providers and outside processing opportunities to other buyers and operating representatives to properly define costs, benefits, logistical needs and future strategies necessary for success.
Maintaining close coordination with personnel from manufacturing and other business areas, as required
