ATI Albany Operations 34th Ave and Millersburg Operations have multiple Production Operator positions available due to the immense growth ATI is experiencing.
These positions at both facilities perform entry level production work in an industrial -- manufacturing environment. Open shifts vary and are most likely grave and/or swing shifts. As a Production Operator you are instrumental in driving efficiencies and increased effectiveness in meeting production goals and objectives to continue our growth and meet customer expectations. This position requires a candidate that is safety conscious, quality oriented and ability to perform well in a team environment.
A successful Production Operator is knowledgeable of industrial machinery and equipment, including IME, various hand tools, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy hands on work, be able to follow instructions without deviation. Exceptional communication skills and a safety mind set will be crucial in this role. Being an outstanding team player is critical as you will work cross functionally in the facility.
In order to become successful and provide immediate impact, it will be important to quickly learn the manufacturing facility as well as processes, assets, and work collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Primary Responsibilities
• Utilization of computer-based systems for daily operation.
• Continuously aware and actively participating in safety programs and initiatives.
• Hands on involvement with Continuous Improvement activities.
• Operation of industrial and production equipment and machinery.
• Perform heavy physical labor and equipment (forklifts, cranes, manipulators).
• Use basic hand tools.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Keep accurate records and complete reports.
Additional Skills
• Ability to problem solve.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic calculations and understand decimals and fractions.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills.
• Good manual dexterity and be mechanically inclined.
• Able to lift and/or move light to heavy objects (up to 50lbs).
