Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Miami, FL Architecture Group as a Full-time Architectural CAD Technician.

How will you contribute to the team?
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop technical writing, computer & communication skills. CAD skills required.
JOB DUTIES
Perform site and field work including site investigations, existing facility inventory and field measured documentation.
Uses CAD system to enter the required data, such as precise measurements and commands, in order to generate construction drawings, renderings, report graphics and other digital images.
Prepares layouts, drawings and designs from detailed sketches and/or drawings made by technicians, designers or technical professionals, converting paper documents into computerized files.
Uses CAD to redesign, modify, or otherwise edit existing design.
Makes minor mathematical calculations.
Checks final drawing to verify completeness, clarity and accuracy of drawing.
Complete assignments efficiently and in a timely, accurate, and complete manner.
Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks assigned.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
What will you contribute?
High school diploma (or equivalent) plus six years related experience OR an Associate’s Degree in a related technical field plus four years related experience is required.
Ability to interpret technical specifications
Good math skills and AutoCAD skills preferred.
