Job Description
Atkore Management LLC seeks a Manager, IT Projects in Mokena, IL. The qualified candidate for the position of Manager, IT Projects will be part of the team responsible for structuring, planning, monitoring, and delivering IT initiatives. The position will oversee small and large programs, manage internally staffed projects, and support fully outsourced and externally managed initiatives. The position will also be charged with managing IT intake and prioritization and developing and implementing an Atkore IT project delivery methodology that is scalable for small and large projects. Further, as a Manager, IT Projects, the qualified candidate will be responsible for the following: overseeing multiple IT projects through established project management principles and delivery methodologies; providing leadership and consistency across Atkore's Digital Roadmap projects that delivers our core JD Edwards solution to all North American facilities and functions; participating in developing and monitoring a scalable and reusable IT delivery methodology that will become Atkore's standard work for North American IT projects; as part of the PMO, assist with developing and monitoring IT delivery metrics that compliment Atkore's Strategy Deployment Process and our Lean Daily Management processes. Participating in the project intake and prioritization process that manages all demands for IT projects; and partnering with Atkore's Solution Architect, IT Functional Managers and BA's, and Master Data Manager to deliver results. Position requires domestic/international travel up to 30% of the time as is customary and needed for the occupation.
Job Requirements
The qualified candidate must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Computer Information Systems, or closely related field. The qualified candidate must have at least 5 years (60 months) of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience with all the following: (a) project management; (b) IT Applications Development; (c) developing workflows for clients; (d) translating business requirements into effective technical documents and designing technical solutions by using development best practices; (e) guiding team resources and reviewing codes before deployment; (f) serving as a subject matter expert to help technical team understand client requirements; (g) developing/customizing BSSVs and UBE’s; (h) debugging and performing unit testing; and (i) utilizing all the following tools/technologies: Waterfall, Agile, JDE Enterprise One Tool Set; JDE Orchestrator, JDE Finance, JDE Sales & Distribution, C-BSFN, RDA, and NER. All experience may be gained concurrently.
