What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper receiver position at Atkore?
Who we are looking for :
We are currently looking for a Shipper / Receiver I to be based out of Pendleton, Oregon. Reporting to Shipping Manager, the Shipper / Receiver I will be responsible for pulling orders, stock fitting shelves;
loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse are and making sure the product is secure and safe.
What you’ll do :
Shipper / Receiver I’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Follow plant safety rules and procedures while wearing proper PPE while in the yard and loading / unloading trucks.
- Ability to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment.
- Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation.
- Proficient with all types of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks and banders.
- Packaging accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level.
- Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup.
What you’ll bring :
- Ability to work in a safely and efficient manner in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and / or move up to pounds unassisted.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Within months, you’ll :
- Complete any required training.
- Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
