What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certifed Medical Assistant (CMA) position at Atlanta Heart Associates?
Cardiology practice in Riverdale, Georgia is looking for a self-motivated Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care. Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to other offices as needed is required. Cardiology experience preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties
-Obtain and document medical history of patient.
-Triage patient and recording vital signs.
-Provide patient education and instructions given by physicians.
-Prepare exam rooms and equipment.
-Comply with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
-Performing EKGs and drawing labs as needed.
- Front desk duties, as needed (scheduling and answering phone calls)
-Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
-Communications Skills- ability to interact with patients in a professional manner and able to discuss patient information confidentially.
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform in a high patient volume setting
- Must be currently registered or certified as a medical assistant.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
