Full Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified candidate to fill the roll of Landscape Designer and Sales within our team. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Landscape Designer and Sales candidate with up to 10-years of on-the-job experience. The individual hired for this position will be involved with research, document and materials preparation, CAD and hand drawing production, in-the-field project analysis, and planting & design schemes. The successful candidate will work alongside project team leaders and partner vendors. The Landscape Designer and Sales position is a year-round full-time position and reports directly to the owner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Exceptional client communication and customer service skills
Design landscapes, hardscapes, structures and plantings
Proficient with details, including quality of work
Express ability to be accountable, responsible, dependable, honest and trustworthy
Proficient with time management
Ability to solve problems, think critically, and be adaptive to changes
Collaborate with clients to find best design solution
Utilize hand and computer aided design to create 2-D and 3-D sketches and color renderings
Assist with preparing bids/proposals, follow up with clients, and closing jobs
Blueprint reading and fundamental design knowledge
Installation techniques (hardscapes & softscapes)
Plant knowledge
Subcontractor collaboration
CAD based software knowledge
Proficient working with PC’s using Microsoft Office, internet, emails and data collection
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Problem solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
Strong work ethic
Qualifications:
Degree or certification in design is preferred
5 Years minimum experience in landscape design
Have an understanding of design fundamentals including elevations
Ability to understand problems, ask the right questions, think critically and identify solutions
