The Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator will carry out front office duties in a dental environment (experience in oral surgery is preferred). Must be a team member who exhibits a positive and enthusiastic personality, is focused on exceptional customer service, and genuinely connects with patients, staff and referring offices on a personal level.
Responsibilities:
Greeting and Welcoming: Excellent interpersonal skills: must exhibit a warm, inviting personality to connect with patients.
Schedule: Aggressive and proactive control of the patient schedule to ensure efficient use of appointment time, maximizing the entire workday. Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments.
Phones: Always answering phones “with a smile”, let them hear you smile.
Email: Efficient management of emails with a response to all emails.
Patient Registration: Direct patients to our website to ensure the new patient forms are completed prior to the appointment; close management of forms to ensure they are received, completed, and loaded into the practice management system. Including preparation of charts and updating records.
Referral Information: ensure referral and x-ray is obtained from the referring office; save files in the appropriate location; assist with contacting referring offices upon direction.
Appointment Documentation: ensure all patient personal and health is entered into the computer software system accurately and proactively; ensure all consents, insurance cards, and driver’s licenses are obtained and saved to the software system.
Insurance: Support the Insurance Coordinator with insurance verification, pre-treatments, and collection of copayments as needed.
Patient Support: handle and/or direct patient questions and issues proactively, thoroughly, and professionally; liaison with other team members to address open tasks as necessary; know when to escalate issues/questions.
Customer Service: always exhibit exceptional customer service; making a positive and enthusiastic impression with patients and referring office at all times, both by phone and in person.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
