Job Description
OPTOMETRY OFFICE
We are currently interviewing for a 35-40 hour full time position primarily for our Woonsocket office with occasional coverage for our Warwick office. The purpose of this role is to provide quality friendly energetic service while satisfying the needs for patients and to uphold our company's standards of excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scheduling, insurance verification and filing
- Assist patients by giving prompt, courteous and professional service; assist patients in frame and lens selection, accurately complete required paperwork, accurately measure and order customer spectacles and contact lenses
- Dispense optical Eyewear and contact lenses in accordance with professional standards and in compliance with Federal, state and local regulations
- Perform repairs, adjustments and deliveries of eyewear as needed
- Verify accuracy of completed eyewear and contact lenses
- Handle patients questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Protect all Company assets, including inventory, cash, credit card drafts, bank deposits and equipment. Follow proper procedures when accepting checks and credit cards
- Project a positive attitude toward all company objectives and directives; demonstrate teamwork at all times, including attendance at staff meetings and other training or company functions as required.
- Foster Teamwork and maintain a positive working relationship with your co-workers
- Deliver individual practice goals, service goals and established key indicator goals and objectives
- Comply with policy, procedures, and federal, state and local regulatory requirements like but not limited to privacy, discrimination, safety and labor. Report non-compliance observations and concerns accurately and promptly
- Learn office software and be proficient in appointment scheduling and lab orders. Currently utilizing officemate.
- Share maintenance and cleaning duties with co-workers by maintaining well organized work areas; accurate store records and files, greeting patients, answering phones, inputting data, dusting merchandise displays, vacuuming and trash removal as necessary.
- Train assistants based on office needs
JOB TYPE
Job located primarily in our Woonsocket office with occasional coverage in our Woonsocket office. Full Time, generally two days until 6:30pm and some Saturdays 9-1 required.
REQUIRED High School Diploma and experience necessary. Some experience preferred but not mandatory
