Title: Maintenance Assistant

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Atlantic Fields, set outside of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Atlantic Fields is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Facilities Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain grounds and common areas to ensure they are safe, clean and functional
  • Use or hand-off tools, equipment, and parts to workers actively working on maintenance or repairs
  • Work independently from Work Order or Maintenance Requests
  • Repair items brought to attention by manager and employees.
  • Perform minor building and equipment preventative maintenance tasks
  • Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures
  • Responds promptly to emergencies
  • Perform basic inspections from a checklist

Skills & Qualifications

  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have a valid Drivers License
  • Energetic and enthusiastic work ethic
  • Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance functions, to include painting, sanding, common repairs, and basic electric, air-conditioning and plumbing.
