Summary:
Atlantic Medical Management (AMM) is looking for an experienced Director of Revenue Cycle Management to join our organization. AMM is a corporate medical management firm that is dedicated to improving patient care. Home base for this position is in Cary, NC but may require travel throughout North Carolina.
The primary responsibility will be to ensure that patient billing and processing of payment receipts are consistently completed timely. This position will also minimize bad debt, improve cash flow and effectively manage accounts receivables.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure billing and coding specialists claims are timely and efficient
- Drive processes that achieve financial results for billing, collections and payment processing This will include timely charge entry/capture, billing/claims submission and payment posting
- Review and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding items and assist in the resolution of billing audits
- Work with others to ensure timely close of encounters in a timely manner
- Conduct and oversee denial analysis, implement denial reduction initiatives and reduce overall denials
- Partner with others to ensure timely, accurate and compliance billing and coding activities
Requirements and Qualification:
- 5 years of experience in medical billing and/or coding
- Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, business administration or related field
- Planning, organizing, problem-solving, multi-tasking and decision-making skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, research and compare data; communicate effectively; develop and maintain effective professional relationships
