THE ROLE:
The Innovation Center Mechanical Joining Product Manager will be a subject matter expert for mechanical joining IAS technologies. You will develop technical solutions for our customers. You will report to the Innovation Center Manager.
Mission statement:
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and create the best sustainable solution for their joining needs.
- Be the lead technical resource for the IAS Mechanical Joining portfolio.
- Work with Product Company to ensure products are being developed to meet our customer needs.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO:
- Develop technical solutions for our customers by working with the Innovation Center Application Specialists Team.
- Work with key account managers in engaging customers to define their future needs and express these requirements to the product company.
- Have a deep technical understanding of the Atlas Copco IAS mechanical joining (Self-Piercing Rivets - Henrob and Flow Drill Fastening - K-Flow) portfolio.
- Develop product training sessions for internal Atlas Copco IAS colleagues and external customers.
- Take the lead on Innovation Center validation and development projects related to mechanical joining.
- Engage with the product design / R&D teams from Henrob (New Hudson, Michigan, and Deeside, UK) and K-Flow (Geretsried, Germany) to define and track all product-related developments; ensure features & benefits align with our end-user requirements.
- Be a direct line to the product company to gather information about new product offerings/developments.
- Work with the Integrated Vision Product Manager for applications involving mechanical joining and vision technologies.

- Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- Minimum 5 years comprehensive technical knowledge of mechanical joining applications in automotive or general industry
- Minimum 3 years of product development, process development, and project management experience
- Knowledge in industrial mechanical joining systems.
- Experience dealing with customers.
