Main Responsibilities
- TIG welding during the manufacturing of Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Ion Pumps
- Follow manufacturing travelers and blueprints to meet product specifications
- Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
- Follow quality procedures and document as necessary
- Recommend manufacturability improvements to Engineering
- Maintain commitment to safety, ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.
Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Certification is not required but is preferred.
- Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields
- Prefer at least two years of TIG welding experience.
- TIG welding experience on Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) products a strong plus
- Familiarity with all forms of welding materials / metals
- Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
- Familiarity with engineering blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Willing to learn and be mentored
- Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision
Other duties as assigned
