What you will do:

The primary function is the performance of those duties relating to Lease Administration and Lease Billing. These functions include, but are not limited to generation of all new, renewed and amended lease contracts and the maintenance of all related documentation associated with lease contracts and leased equipment. The Lease Administrator provides timely reports related to lease status, renewals and other lease contract data as required. Responsible for the accuracy of lease status records and generation of invoices related to leased equipment. Responsible for the generation of Annual Lease Revenue Budgets and periodic Lease Revenue Projections as well as responsible for Audit Schedules related to the Lease Administration function.

  • Maintain, update and keep current the lease status and leased equipment inventory reports.
  • Provide and maintain current PPI and CPI index charts for lease increases. Provide notifications of change to customers with contracts dependent upon PPI and CPI indices.
  • Maintain lease contract and related documentation files accurately, with ease of reference, and ensure electronic database is updated at all times.
  • Communicate as required with customers, legal professionals and Sales/Service personnel to ensure fulfilment of customer and Corporate requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of lease billing documentation on a timely and regular basis.
  • Generate accurate and timely lease revenue invoices and maintain their files accordingly.
  • Compile, analyze and interpret data and reports related to leased equipment and their related possession and usage revenue.
  • Generate new, renewed and amended lease contracts on a timely basis.
  • Accurately revenue associated with leased equipment for annual budgets and quarterly projections in accordance with reporting schedules.
  • Analyse, interpret and trouble-shoot system requirements related to lease, billing and leased equipment inventory.
  • Work with outside legal professionals in the development or restructure of lease contracts as required and authorized.
  • Maintain, prepare and provide Audit Schedules as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in a related area from a four-year college or university; and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Personal computer spreadsheet and experience required, including ability to create and spreadsheets, and the ability to perform data entry functions.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards systems and Hubble software preferred.
  • Accounting degree is not required, a certain degree of Accounting and Business Law courses is preferable.
  • Ability to understand the budgeting concept/process and to be able to apply this understanding to the budgeting of Lease (contract) Revenue.
  • Have a basic understanding of Revenue Recognition, Instalment Terms and other accounting concepts related to Lease Administration and Lease Revenue Billing.
  • Have a basic understanding of contractual law as it relates to the Lease Administration function and its requirements.
