RAILCAR COORDINATOR
A Railcar Coordinator is responsible for directly overseeing a specific production line. The Railcar Coordinator is held accountable for the line's efficiency, paperwork, quality results, and billing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate predictable, dependable, and timely attendance.
- Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.
- Learn from directions, observations, and apply procedures using good judgment.
- Working knowledge of general Safety and Operating principles.
- Work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others.
- Coordinate daily tasks to ensure the production line moves efficiently and safely.
- Ensure the accuracy of car billing by confirming that all repairs have been signed-off by operator and inspector, that all part numbers are included and correct and that the customer authorizes all repairs.
- Complete inspections on in-process work to ensure the quality process, hold points, and rework goals are achieved.
- Complete repairs on railcars, and/or assist other team members in completing railcar repairs, within defined efficiency and quality standards.
- Provide as needed training to less experienced team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- One to three years' work-related experience preferred.
- Perform/ prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions including basic drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of FRA, AAR, industry, and customer requirements.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and teamwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
Machines, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used: Welding, torch, hammer, ratchets, chisel, pry bar, wrenches, brushes. Hard hat, steel toe boots, glasses, ear plugs, gloves.
Requirements
- Ability to pass training and required testing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay

- Point Pleasant, WV 25550: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Willingness to travel:
