Outpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in outpatient cardiology to join our client’s dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology with a particular emphasis on stress testing procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care to patients in an outpatient setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with cardiovascular concerns in the outpatient setting.
• Perform stress tests including exercise stress tests, stress echocardiograms, and pharmacological stress tests, interpreting results accurately and providing timely reports.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Manage and coordinate care for patients with chronic cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and congestive heart failure.
• Provide patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and follow-up care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, and cardiac catheterizations as necessary.
• Prescribe medications within scope of practice and in accordance with state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards of practice, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York.
• Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in cardiology, with a focus on outpatient care and stress testing procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $110k to $145k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
