Job Description
An esteemed non-profit organization dedicated to providing a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities is seeking a School Nurse in Manhattan for their pre-school program. The School Nurse will be responsible for providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention to students in the program. In this role, you will work alongside a supportive team of multidisciplinary professionals where you can expect to grow and develop your career tremendously.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the health needs of students.
- Maintain accurate health records and update the staff when necessary.
- Administer medication as needed during the school day.
- Serve as a healthcare expert within the school for students with chronic and acute illnesses and injuries.
- Contact parents when a student becomes ill during the school day.
Requirements:
- New York State Registered Nurse License
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience working with children with disabilities preferred
- Open to new grads
- NY State Driver’s License preferred
Please note- The annual base salary range is $65k to $80k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
