Position: Lab Technician
Hourly Wage: $20

Do you like working in a busy and active environment? Are you a go-getter with experience in a warehouse or production environment? Atlas Staffing is hiring a Lab Technician for a great company in the food manufacturing industry! This is a full-time position with opportunity for advancement.
Objective: In this position, you will be responsible for testing product samples to ensure quality standards are met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collecting and distribution of samples
- Perform analytical tests on wet bakery mixes using pH, water activity and Brix meters
- Physical testing of production samples
- Daily calibration of standard lab instruments
- Recording and interpreting test results
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory environment
- Maintains samples of tested product in order to confirm test results when necessary
- Maintains on-going records of the results of all testing procedures and inputs such data into computer on a daily basis
- Maintains adequate supplies used for testing procedures and notifies the supervisor of the need to re-order such supplies
- Continually compares test results with standards as required to insure that all flour is within specification
Minimum Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting
- Working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Working from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs
- Maintains a neat and clean working area at all times, washing equipment as required and placing equipment in the proper storage area
- Maintains an effective working relationship with fellow employee
- Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment and successfully completes all safety certification requirements
- Maintains awareness and adheres to all FDA, GMP, BRC, BATF, EPA, OSHA and employer standards and guidelines
- Handles various chemicals in assorted containers in the manner outlined in the manufacturer’s chemical Safety Data Sheet
- Informs supervisor immediately of any hazards, unsafe equipment and/or acts
Available Shift:
- 1st shift: Mon-Fri, 6:30am-3:00pm
Wage: $20/hr
