We are a 72,000 sq. foot factory on 10 acres in Sulphur Springs Tx. We currently have 35 employees that weld, carpentry, paint, electrical, plumbing, kitchen/baths, etc.
Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting/Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Atlas Survival Shelters. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, overseeing bookkeeping processes, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a company at the forefront of the survival shelter industry. You would be solely in charge of all accounting, and weekly hours. Payroll is done by Paychex. Must be Proficient in QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Charge Bookkeeping: Oversee and execute all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
Financial Monitoring: Monitor daily cash flows, reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, and process weekly payroll.
Reporting: Generate various financial reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual summaries.
Invoicing Support: Working directly with clients, and producing invoices for sales on bunkers, parts, and miscellaneous items.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with the Distribution Center Manager for inventory adjustments and reconciliation.
Communication: Regularly interact with the owner & plant supervisor to support financial reports and banking activities.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to established accounting processes and contribute to the development of new ones.
Audit Preparation: Prepare documentation for CPA, providing detailed analyses and explanations of transactions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a fast-paced office environment.
- Strong English communication (both verbal and written) skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
- Proficient in computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Must be Proficient in QuickBooks & working closely with CPA.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Effective teamwork and independent work capabilities.
- Basic accounting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function in a high-volume setting with conflicting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Benefits:
