Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Compliance reporting, preparation of environmental or OSHA plans, audits of facility compliance under the supervision of a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Compliance Specialist.
Focus may include environmental regulatory compliance or health and safety (OSHA) compliance, depending on candidate’s background, education or training focus.
Environmental compliance may include air emissions reporting and permit preparation, hazardous waste compliance, water and wastewater, or hazardous materials.
OSHA compliance would include all areas for facility compliance and employee safety.
The successful candidate will be trained to complete any or all of the above.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the field of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Required, with Environmental or engineering major preferred
1-3 years preferable but not required, Atlas will provide training
Self-starter and ability to learn new skills
Interest in regulatory compliance and laws
Aptitude for technical writing
Technical Requirements:
Microsoft Office experience preferred, with proficiency in excel a plus
Written communication skills are essential, with technical writing aptitude a plus
Ability to visualize, create and organize tasks to complete project from start to finish
Ability to efficiently organize multiple projects to stay on project timelines
Math aptitude and skills a plus
Chemistry background a plus
Health and Safety education or classes a plus
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Ability to travel 10-20% of time
BS or BA in Environmental field or Health and Safety field a plus
