Environmental Field Technicians (LDAR) needed for the TPRI facility located in Port Arthur, TX. Primary job duties include leak detection and repair at petrochemical facilities using environmental air sampling techniques. Candidates must be comfortable working in a highly regulated, detail oriented environment where strict adherence to rules and procedures is required at all times.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain assigned PPE, Project Equipment & Supplies
  • Perform component field inspections in accordance with Method 21 standards and techniques
  • Perform required visual inspections in accordance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain LDAR monitoring equipment per manufacturers guidelines
  • Perform daily instrument calibrations and quarterly certifications in accordance with Method 21 and any site-specific rules
  • Identify changes to Component Inventory in field and log appropriate comment to correct issue IE Missing Tag (MT), Removed from Service (RFS), Temporarily Out of Service (TOS)
  • Identify and log any Open-Ended Lines (OEL) found in field
  • Attain basic understanding of all regulations and rules applicable to assigned site
  • Performs all assigned task with little to no supervision
  • Actively engages leadership for Career Path Guidance and Advancement Opportunities
  • Completes all assigned reoccurring training before due date
  • Adheres to ATLAS Work Attendance Policy
  • Maintains a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Adheres to all ATLAS company policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Able to pass annual background screening and random D&A testing
  • Meets Physical and Work Environment requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work

Technical Requirements:

  • Work is outdoor industrial environment and physically demanding
  • Must be able to work, stand, and walk in any weather condition for eight (8) or more hours per day
  • Must not have a fear of heights preventing aerial work or climbing ladders with cages while meeting OSHA 3-pints of contact standard
  • Must be able to hear, see, and smell to perform work and operate in an industrial environment
  • Routinely lifts up to 25 pounds, bend, squat, reach, and stretch
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
  • Requires repetitive hand and wrist motion to perform inspections and other work duties
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of work schedule

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
