Atlas is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to work on an exciting new megaproject with site offices located in New Rochelle, New York.
The Penn Station Access Project will provide direct Metro-North service from the Bronx, Westchester and Connecticut to Penn Station and Manhattan’s West Side, providing connectivity to areas currently with limited rail service. The project consists of four new ADA-accessible passenger rail stations, over 19 miles of new and rehabilitated track work, four bridge rehabilitations, the reconfiguration of Metro-North's New Rochelle Yard, four new and one reconfigured interlockings, five new and two upgraded substations, and the modernization of signal, power and communication infrastructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in developing office policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented properly;
- Oversee and support all administrative duties and ensure the project office operates smoothly;
- Maintain adequate office supplies;
- Maintain office kitchen;
- Manage and ensure project documentation accuracy, quality, integrity and compliance in accordance with defined management systems and procedures;
- Assist with the on-boarding and off-boarding duties of project team members;
- Assist project managers in all other administration functions and processes as needed; and,
- Assist with such other administrative tasks as may reasonably be requested.

Minimum Requirements:
- AA/BA/BS degree preferred
- 3 years of professional experience with office administration
- Experience in the engineering consulting industry, preferred
- Professional, self-motivated, team player with strong collaboration skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team involving staff, clients, and outside agencies
- Strong problem-solving, workload management, and organizational skills with limited supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint)
Compensation:
$27 - $32 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
