AADC is looking for a creative individual who uses clients' culture and background to design daily activities. Under the supervision of the Administrator, the Activity Director is primarily responsible for the daily activities of all clients that promotes psycosocial, cognitive, and physical stimulation. This individual should be energized, engaged, dedicated, vivacious, and client-oriented.

Speaking Gujarati/Hindi is a big PLUS.

The AADC will designate an Activity Director of the facility who will be:

  • Certified or eligible for certification as an Activity Director (ADC) by the National certification Council for Activity Professionals; or
  • Certified by National Council for Therapeutic Recreation; or by New Jersey state Board of Recreation examiners; or
  • High school diploma or at least one year of full time or full time equivalent experience in patient activities in a licensed health care facility and successfully completed an activities education program approved by the New Jersey State Department of Health.

The activity director will provide but is not be limited to;

  • Develops monthly activity schedules, and plans and schedules activities and social events
  • organizes and schedules outside/ancillary activity therapies
  • participates in a quarterly review of care plans
  • maintains accurate and up-to-date quarterly notes
  • Developing and implementing a quality assurance program;

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedule:

  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday

Language:

  • Gujarati or Hindi (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Activity Director Certified (Required)

Work Location: In person
