What are the responsibilities and job description for the CMC CTICU Nocturnist position at Atrium Health?
Overview
Atrium Health is seeking an experienced full time Nocturnist APP to come work at our state-of-the-art specialty CTICU unit at CMC Main in Charlotte, NC.
Position Description:
• Schedule will be 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. / 145 shifts per year
• Rotation will be night shift only and every 3rd weekend
• Inpatient – Adults – 100%
• Daily rounding, evaluation, management and stabilization of complex post op cardiac surgery patients including but not limited to: CABG, valve replacements, complex aortic replacement, heart transplant and temporary and durable mechanical support devices
• Interpreting pulmonary artery catheter data, and management of chest tubes and temporary epicardial pacing
• Management of mechanical support devices including VADs, ECMO, and IABPs
• Teaching opportunities with ACP fellows and nursing staff
• Eligible for overtime, differential pay, PTO, and Performance Incentive Bonuses
Position Qualifications:
• One year CT-ICU management or cardiac surgery experience required
• CVC placement and art line placement desired, but not required
• Graduation from an accredited ACNP or PA program
• Excellent communication skills required
• NC licensure within 60 days of hire
