Job Summary
Develops, implements and coordinates alumni outreach efforts and College marketing and public relations throughout the System. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing Cabarrus College alumni outreach and fundraising efforts in coordination with the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation. Seeks annual, major, and principal gifts
from alumni, friends of the college, and other individuals. The manager serves as leader responsible for the oversight and implementation of all aspects of alumni relations, takes a leadership role in fund raising for the annual fund, and contributes to the development and implementation of the annual fundraising plan.
Essential Functions
- Creates, operates, and assesses outcomes of a strategic plan for locating, contacting, and interfacing with alumni of the medical residency programs at the Medical Center in order to stimulate awareness of the System's initiatives as well as networking and provider referral opportunities.
- Identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards a portfolio of alumni and other donors and develops active communication and solicitation strategies involving multiple media, personal visits, and constituent engagement, all focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support.
- Coordinates all alumni event planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Identifies and oversees initiatives to engage alumni in the life of the College/Medical Education Division.
- Identifies and oversees initiatives to engage current students and residents in alumni activities to facilitate seamless transition to active alumni participation.
- Plans and coordinates special events that further alumni relations, annual giving goals, and ongoing support for the goals of the college, the hospital, and the healthcare system.
- Manages, updates, and markets the alumni web site and social media connections and the production and communication of distributed material.
- Manages the process of updating alumni records ensuring data is entered accurately, timely and completely.
- Organizes and conducts an annual giving campaign in collaboration with the Foundation, the College Development Committee, and any other oversight or collaborative fundraising partners.
- Provides support services to the Graduate Education department.
- Coordinates all alumni event planning, coordination, and implementation.
- Develops and implements comprehensive alumni engagement and communication strategies to strengthen relationships in support of long-term fundraising efforts.
- Collaborates with other members of the college community and the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation in preparation of publications, presentations, proposals and other communications to advance fund development efforts.
Physical Requirements
Extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stretching; frequently travels throughout the campuses. Visual and auditory acuity within normal lines or corrected.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred. Experience in development, fund-raising, alumni relations or related field required.
