What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN | CCU | Days WOW position at Atrium Health?
Overview
Our CCU is a 10-bed unit that focuses on the care of the critically ill patient with medical diagnoses and complications. CCU also cares for adult/geriatric patients whose complex medical and/or surgical needs require invasive monitoring and/or mechanical ventilation. RNs new to CCU nursing are enrolled in the Critical Care Academy (CCA).
What you can expect:

The CCA is a competency-based orientation program that includes:

bedside experience with a dedicated Preceptor
-
didactic classes utilizing, in part, the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses)
-
seminars which help to connect the didactic learning with the clinical experience

simulation labs to increase assessment, competency, and critical thinking skills.

Compassionate leadership and teammates

Teamwork and support staff of clinical care techs, unit secretaries and ancillary departments

Continuing education
What you will need:

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing

Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license
