Position: Office Associate - Director
Department: Nursing Administration
Shift: 9AM-5PM/ Full-time/ 80 HRS Per Pay Period
Facility: Atrium Medical Center
This position is one with a high level of responsibility and accountability. The Office Associate is responsible for fulfilling secretarial duties for the Nursing Administration department/Administrative staff as designated. The Office Associate shares responsibility for the smooth operations and efficient functioning of the Nursing Administration office. This position requires a good working knowledge of the hospital, a thorough understanding of the needs of the Managers and Directors. The incumbent must have good human relation skills, personal tact, integrity, good judgment and problem‑solving skills.
Performs full secretarial duties for the Nursing Administration department. Provides secretarial assistance for managers/directors and support staff in the Division of Nursing. This includes correspondence, special projects, preparation of material for presentation and meeting minutes.
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Associates degree preferred.
Experience:
Three to five years of recent secretarial experience.
Skills/Other:
- Typing proficiency a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- Computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products are required.
- Exceptional skills regarding customer relations, quality, accuracy, productivity, critical thinking and teamwork are required.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities/ projects is required.
- Must have the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
- Must promote teamwork by demonstrating willingness to assist others.
- Must possess the ability to consider options and make decisions independently.
