What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Technician position at Atrium Staffing?

We are currently supporting one of the world’s leading health and security organizations to identify various staff for a critical and urgent initiative! This organization goes above and beyond in their efforts to protect people and save lives and is a phenomenal organization to work for! They are working on a special project to help with the facilitation of the intake of individuals/families that will be immigrating to the U.S. from abroad. The organization will be setting up temporary shelter and medical facilities onsite at various military bases to assist with the intake and evaluation of these families and are looking for Lab Technicians to support the initiative immediately! This is an amazing opportunity to support a community and culture in need and to participate in a U.S. project for social good!
To help facilitate the hiring process we are able to offer housing accommodations, meal stipends, and flight reimbursements for candidates who are willing to relocate (specific to select locations only)! Salary will be dependent on the specific role you are hired for and experience. We are filling positions in multiple locations, Blackstone, VA, Holloman, NM and Lakehurst, NJ. Candidates will be required to be vaccinated due to the nature of this project.
This initiative is a 24/7 operation - day and night shifts are available 7 days/week. Any interested candidates must be able to work 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM. Ability to work 4 shifts per week is ideal.

Position Overview:
We are looking for several Laboratory Technicians to complete related work such as inventory maintenance, lab equipment calibration/verification and upkeep, and compliance with good laboratory and documentation practices. Other lab roles are also available to help with specimen collection and processing.This initiative is a 24/7 operation - day and night shifts are available 7 days/week. Any interested candidates must be able to work 7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM. Ability to work 4 shifts per week is ideal.
Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician:
- Assist in receiving, organizing and labeling incoming raw material orders and documentation
- Specimen collection and processing
- Maintain an accurate and updated inventory
- Assist the team in maintaining a clean laboratory environment Interact with colleagues to determine and tabulate individual supply needs and compile master list
- Use good record keeping procedures
- Stay updated with relevant laboratory test methods, equipment and industry standards
- Assist in maintaining/cleaning laboratory test equipment or glassware as requested
- Calibrate or verify laboratory test equipment, operate lab test equipment as needed
- Conduct all activities consistent with company and departmental policies and procedures
Qualifications for the Laboratory Technician:
- 1 years of experience and/or lab technician certification
- Valid driver’s license is helpful (travel to other sites may be required)
- Proof of Covid vaccination required
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
