The Corporate Account Executive (CAE) is responsible for developing, growing and maintaining key corporate accounts. In this position, an individual acquires, maintains, and expands relationships with large corporate and regional clients in addition to multiple named prospects. This individual represents the entire range of company services to assigned clients while leading client account planning cycles, forecasting growth, identifying new initiatives and business opportunities, and ensuring assigned clients’ needs and expectations are met by our organization.

The most successful individuals will embody strong communication skills that will create an opportunity for the CAE to bring new perspectives and thought leadership opportunities to the table that will help our clients’ understand new ways to improve their own efficiency and productivity as they strive to achieve their continuous improvement initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build strong, long-lasting, productive relationships with key personnel in assigned client accounts to grow new business and expand existing business.
  • Act as the main point of contact and client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience for defined accounts.
  • Initiate regular meetings with key account contacts to strengthen relationships and assess ongoing client needs.
  • Lead preliminary solution-based conversation efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of company personnel, including engineering and management resources, to meet account and opportunity performance objectives as well as clients’ needs and expectations.
  • Proactively generate strategic account plans for assigned accounts on a quarterly basis. To do this successfully, candidates will analyze account potential, understand short and long-term performance objectives, identify opportunities of poor performance and areas prime for growth, recommend new solution options for clients to achieve their goals, and evaluate critical milestones for a one and three-year periods to drive clients’ continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities and communicate with the commercial team regularly to encourage a collaborative working environment driven by organizational growth.
  • Continue to develop professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
  • Maintain high client retention and satisfaction by providing excellent support and an unwavering willingness to assist partners with any concerns.
  • Keep up with industry trends, changes, and competitor actions that might affect clients and the company’s overarching ability to support them.
  • Forecast and track individual key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Achieve organizational and professional growth and reach or exceed defined performance metrics through the successful management of client accounts and supporting processes to meet operational needs and goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience in client facing, solution or service selling in the industrial manufacturing space.
  • Be proficient using CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of building relationships and closing revenue-generating deals.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication, listening, networking, persuasion, presentation, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build strong professional relationships and communicate with senior stakeholders at the executive and C-level.
  • Possess a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and all levels of management, internally and externally.
  • Must be enthusiastic with a drive for success and quality.
  • Must have strong and rational decision-making skills.
  • Must be highly customer-centric and focused.
  • Must be a team player who demonstrates a collegial/collaborative working style.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience within the industrial manufacturing space and an understanding of the complexities of the manufacturing plant floor.
