Job Title: Architect / Construction Project Manager
Location: San Antonio, TX

AttainX is looking for an experienced Architect / Construction Project Manager to join our team in San Antonio, Texas

Qualifications:
  • Must Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture from an ABET accredited university
  • At least 8 years’ experience in architecture design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and architectural principles and analytical techniques in order to support complex engineering assignments related to multidiscipline (mechanical, civil, electrical, or architecture) project planning, design and construction.
  • Experience gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project-related procedures and complete established project milestones.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications.
Qualification Desired
  • Prior DoD/ MILCON / Government project experience
  • Experience with the use of DEAMS, NEXGEN IT, Builder Sustainment Management System (SMS), PACES
  • Interior Design experience
  • Possess a current US State license to practice architecture

Job Duties:
  • Provides complete facility planning and programming for assigned projects by establishing facility and infrastructure requirements critical for mission accomplishment
  • Coordinates and completes planning actions to ensure programs/projects are compatible with existing land use and architecture; reviews contracted and in-house designs to determine compatibility, maintainability, and functionality.
  • Develop engineering designs using CAD software
  • Prepare cost estimates, performance work statements, and specifications for existing and proposed facilities
  • Act as liaison between design, review, construction, and using agencies
  • Performs drafting duties. Interprets rough engineering sketches to produce working drawings using manual and CAD techniques. Produces architectural drawings. Updates Base Comprehensive Plans and maintains record drawings.
  • On-site leadership during construction
  • Performs contract management duties. Manages and inspects construction and maintenance contracts. Interprets plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Coordinates, evaluates, monitors, and documents contract activities and progress
  • Prepares recommendations for contract modifications
  • Reviews material submittals for compliance with contract specifications
  • Conducts pre-final, acceptance, and post-acceptance inspections
  • Completes projects typically associated with a wide variety of architectural and engineering facets which interface with other technical specializations and are typically characterized by a combination of complex features to include, interior and exterior facility design, life safety code analysis and building code compliance
  • Supports contingency operations. Develops bed-down plans to house personnel, aircraft, and associated support functions during contingency operations
  • Inspects, evaluates, documents, and reports on construction process. Ensure all contract documents are properly executed. Composes and submits status reports, percentage completion reports, and daily reports to include project conditions
  • Conducts site visits, assists with arranging for and the inspection of warranty repairs associated with completed projects Identify, plan, develop, prepare, schedule, manage, and closeout in-house, multi-craft, work orders, maintenance activities, and projects
  • Perform enterprise business system data entry
  • Develop requirements
