AttainX is seeking a licensed Fire Protection Engineer to support the U.S.A.F. at Joint Base San Antonio in Texas.
Qualifications
Must possess bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering from an ABET accredited university is the US or its Territories.- Possess a current Professional Engineering license in Fire Protection Engineering from a State in the U.S.
- Must be a US Citizen
Comprehensive knowledge of fire protection and multi-disciplined engineering principles and analytical techniques- Experience in gathering data to solve complex technical problems and be able to follow established project-related procedures and complete established project milestones
- Experience using MS Office applications in a professional setting

- NEXGEN IT
- BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS) PACES
The successful candidate will perform the following:
General Duties
- Applies knowledge, experience and understanding of theories, principles and practical concepts related to mechanical engineering.
- Provides specialized engineering technical support and design of fire suppression, controls, alarm systems, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
- Provides specialized fire protection technical support; evaluations and verification/certification of fire protection systems. Develops procedures and assesses and designs systems.
- Combines knowledge of engineering and health and safety.
- Identifies corrections of potential hazards in facilities and systems.
- Evaluates effectiveness of mechanisms.
- Ensures facilities comply with applicable regulations.
- Performs design reviews of plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provides on-site leadership.
- Coordinates activities to meet the customer's requirements.
- Plan, direct, or coordinate projects.
- Formulate policies, manage daily operations, and plan use of materials and human resources.
- Supports the Engineering Flight in the writing, coordination, and processing of DD Form 1391s in support of FSRM and MILCON projects.
- Assists in the development of the BCAMP.
- Provides complete facility planning and programming by establishing facility and infrastructure requirements; proposes most effective and economical means of satisfying those requirements.
- Obtains and verifies information to justify and gain Congressional funding approval.
