What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weld Quality Tech position at ATW?
Job Summary:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner
- Explaining repair issues in a way that’s accessible to a nontechnical audience.
- Conduct inspections of welds to identify defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and giving feedback through coaching and training, as needed
- Performs detailed inspections of raw materials, final products, and confirm they are manufactured to standard.
- Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.
- Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Drive the maintenance of a safe and organized work environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address welding-related issues and provide technical insights for continuous improvement.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Travel to Watertown, SD as needed. Total travel less than 10% annually.
