AtWork is now hiring experienced and apprentice millwrights in the Knoxville, Morristown, and Sweetwater, TN areas. We offer 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts, 8 and 10-hour shifts to meet your schedule needs.

Job duties:

• Install new machinery.
• Operate forklift, manlift, hoist, crane, key cutters, drills, presses.
• Weld and fabricate using arc and wire feed welders, cutting torch and track burners.
• Read and follow blueprints and other specification SOP documents.
• Special projects as assigned.
• Work in confined spaces as required.
• Perform various physical duties as assigned.
• Maintain all safety standards.
• Move, secure, install, build, load and/or unload materials, tools and equipment.

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and/or crew foremen.
• Clean/prepare job site.
• Use mechanical and power tools to repair equipment.
• Welding Fabrication for repairs and install of mill equipment.
• Properly repair and install mechanical parts for equipment
• Read schematics, and instruction manuals to make equipment repairs.

What You’ll Do:

• Read and understand equipment drawings and blueprints.

• Perform routine preventative maintenance duties.

• Cut, weld, and perform fabrication work with different types of steel.

• Assess repairs and estimate time frames to complete.

• Repair machinery in a timely manner.

• Identify mechanical and hydraulic problems and assist in findings solutions and making necessary repairs.

• Identify shaft sizes, measure up, and build shafts for replacement.

• Identify and change sprockets, bearings, and chains etc.
• Adhere to an absolute lock-out policy, ensuring that the power source is turned off, machine locked out, and tested to ensure isolation.

• Fill out completed work orders listing work done, parts used, and the time it took to complete the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
